I have recently learned via an email from Blogger that it is now possible to integrated Google Plus comments with a blog such as this one. Unfortunately, as of yet there is no reaction from Disqus and there does not seem to be possible to have both.
Hello!
Writing a thoughtful post and seeing how people engage can be really rewarding, so we’ve made it easier to reach a broader audience and see more of their reactions.
Once you enable Google+ Comments, people can share the comments they make on your blog to their circles in Google+, helping you reach people that they know. And there's more: mentions of your posts on Google+ automatically show up right in your blog's comments, so you can see more of people’s public conversations about your content (and private conversations you’re part of).
Here's how to add Google+ Comments to your blog:
1.
Sign in to Blogger2.
Click on the “Google+” tab in your blog’s Dashboard3.
Upgrade to Google+ if you haven’t already done so4.
Enable Google+ Comments. Comments already made on your posts will keep working in the new widgetHappy Blogging,

The big question is if both Disqus and Google Plus can coexist?
As it can be seen above, the answer is NO. Google Plus completely takes over the commenting system from Disqus, and seeing that Google owns Blogger, it is unlikely that Disqus can do anything about other than engaging in a cat and mouse game with Google that they cannot possibly win or complaining to some antitrust authority in each of the major trading blocks.
Upon some further investigating, I discovered that one cannot comment unless logged in to Google. That does it for me: I want people to be able to comment anonymously, and adopting Google Plus as a commenting platform would kill that ability. Arguably, that would also reduce spam, but on the other hand even now we have the option to turn on only authenticated comments – something I have never used.
In my quick survey, I also haven’t seen such comments turned on in any of the blogs I looked at. However, I haven’t looked at many either.
Perhaps this can improve once Disqus updates its comment integration to take Google Plus into account. For now, we’re staying with the old system. Which option do you prefer?
